Trudy,

Thanks for getting back to us.  I was getting a little worried that something was wrong.

1. The tapes were made by all of you. They were done on a visit to them in Florida. I also wrote information on trips to Florida.  So, it is a combination, but mostly info from the tapes.  It is also from information garnered from others.  When I have time, I will explore copying these tapes for all.

2. I did not know about how you met Jules.  I remember Cookie (Maryanne Wise, college friend of Trudy) visiting with Christine, Madeline, Margie, and Steven before I met you.  I think I am still correct in this but could be wrong.  I am forwarding this to Sherry to put in the blog.

3. The wedding DVD is on its way to you via first class mail.  You should receive this in about three days.  If you want copies, let me know and I have 30 days to make more.  Yavapai broadcasting already has the Christmas DVDs and they will have Christmas music as a background.  Your wedding DVD will have classical music.  It will take about two weeks for the Christmas DVDs to be done.  These DVDs are a present from us to you.  I will investigate the cost of the honeymoon DVDs and let you know.  What kind of music would you like and what title?

4.  You are right about Frankie.  I remember that now.

Joe

Hi Joe,

I am replying to your latest message about the bread man, fish man, etc.   Did I send that information typed, or was that in the box with your picture and Oma's scrapbook cards?   I don't remember typing it.   Bone and Noodle soup should be Bohnen and Noodle soup, and the grubffin that your grandmother brought were probably Krapfen, a kind of doughnut made with yeast and deep fried in oil.   That fishing trip must have been fun.

I think I asked you before, but who made all these tapes?  Melissa and Eric did some, and who else?

Jules doesn't think Cookie (Maryann Wise) had a crush on him, but we met through her.   She was a college friend of mine.   She had seen him at Christine’s wedding and suggested him for a date for me to the senior prom.   That's how we met, and it was good.   Jules says you and he also played at that creek, and that Gisi Dant was not happy that Liz and Theresia were not there when Resi Dant died.   He also said that Frankie Pelzer was leading the rosary that all prayed.   Frankie was Resi Dant's stepson.  We used to visit him in Florida with Ma and Dad.

Now to the tapes we send.   Sorry they were of no help.  Can you let us know how much it would cost to put them on a DVD?   We could not ever see them otherwise.   If it wasn't done yet, I would like to have the Christmas and the little tape of our wedding put on the same tape, and copied twice so that Melissa, Jennifer and Eric would each have one.   We can look at one of theirs.   I will start looking for the tapes you are looking for.   Things are a little busy right now with getting the income tax papers together.   Jules is busy with finishing the storage part of the basement.   Let us know what everything comes to.

All for now.   Hope you are both fine.

Love, Trudy and Jules

FYI

Jules fails to mention that when there was inclement weather a 7th grade teacher would challenge the kids to fight. It was held in the downstairs of the grade school. Jules remembers that one of the kids gave the teacher a bloody nose.

Remind me to tell you more about Humiston grade school.

Also today was a strange day. Last night when I hit the sack the room started to swim like I was inebriated.  After a while it stopped and I went to sleep. When I awoke around 2:00 am I had to use the bathroom and always use the far bathroom opposite the kitchen. I was so dizzy that I staggered the whole way to the bathroom. When I came out I was drenched in sweat and totally nauseated. I made it to the recliner and after an hour made it to bed. I stayed in bed till 10:30 and felt a little better. your mom has ancestry at 12:30 so I drove here there and read the paper in the car. Before she left the car, I heard this clunk on the car mat. I looked down and there was my Auxiliary Police badge I had when I was in my teens. I did not have it with me, it was not in the car, it certainly was not in my pockets etc. so how that happened I don't know. Anyway your Mom took it in and made a photocopy of it which I will mail yo you (Sherry) and maybe you could scan it into the blog?

Mia, Peter, and Bepple,

I hope this gets to you. I think you will enjoy all of this. There is still more to do. Need the information from Pepple about his father and mother, what he remembers about his grandparents, and Poppendorf experiences. I also would appreciate your input of memories, to include your father and mother, your marriage etc.

Joe Baumann
